At physiologic pH, chlorhexidine salts dissociate and release the positively charged chlorhexidine cation. The bactericidal effect is a result of the binding of this cationic molecule to negatively charged bacterial cell walls. Alcohol provides instant disinfectant and give long lasting effects when combines with chlorhexidine.

Mi-Shield Rub is a complete bactericidal (MRSA), fungicidal, tuberculocidal hand rub and an ideal product for skin disinfection .

Mi-Shield Rub shows excellent results against the microorganisms like Escherichia coli, Salmonella typhi, Klebsiella aerogenes, Proteus vulgaris, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Staphylococcus aureus, Methicillin Resistant Staphylococcus aureus, Enterococcus faecalis, Mycobacterium tuberculosis, Aspergillus niger, Candida albicans in 30 seconds:

Rapid Hand Disinfection :- Use 3ml of Bactorub® ( 2 pushes of dispenser). on clean DRY hands, rubbing for 30 secs for Hygienic Hand Disinfection.

Surgical Hand Disinfection:- Rub 9ml for 1.5 - 3 minutes on clean DRY hands, upto elbows.

Skin Disinfection:- Apply Mi-Shield Rub on operative and peri-operative skin region , to be treated , allow to dry (upto 30 secs) before incision.
