Antibiotics will work against COVID-19 infection.

The coronavirus disease is caused by a virus and not bacteria, therefore, antibiotic administration will not help. We should contact a healthcare provider for better assistance. The Centre for Evidence-Based Medicine (University of Oxford) identified three studies, to assess the use of macrolide antibiotics in COVID-19 treatment and suggests that there is a lack of sufficient evidences to recommend treatment of COVID-19 with macrolides, alone or combined with hydroxychloroquine.
